Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui metode bermain peran. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 65 Pajalesang Palopo dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 17 orang pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Metode pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan selama dua siklus dengan tahap setiap siklusnya adalah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan secara langsung dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan dengan rata-rata pemerolehan keterampilan berbicara siswa mencapai 80,58 atau berada pada kategori baik. Sedangkan secara klasikal, 82,35% siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar atau minimal berada pada kategori baik.
