Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang logo dan desain kemasan keripik pisang tanduk Arjuna di Kota Palopo. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi secara langsung penjualan keripik pisang tanduk Arjuna, wawancara kepada konsumen dan studi pustaka menggunakan literatur sebagai referensi serta penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis komponensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden menyukai logo yang telah dirancang dan desain kemasan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh perancangan logo dan desain kemasan keripik disesuaikan dengan karakteristik produk. Pada perancangan logo, mencitrakan gambar produk yang berbahan dasar pisang tanduk dengan warna hijau. Desain kemasan dari aspek fisik kemasan berupa bahan kemasan bentuk, label berisi informasi produk yang memenuhi kriteria harapan dari konsumen untuk lebih tertarik dibandingkan desain kemasan sebelumnya. Berdasarkan aspek desain grafis kemasan menampilkan warna produk yang menggambarkan varian rasa. Keripik pisang tanduk Arjuna rasa gula aren memiliki rancangan desain kemasan berwarna cokelat tua, keripik rasa gula putih mencitrakan rasa manis yang berasal dari gula kristal dan keripik rasa balado berwarna merah yang memberikan sensasi pedas. Dengan adanya rancangan kemasan unik yang menyesuaikan visualisasi dengan tampilan logo serta tampilan desain kemasan menarik, selain berfungsi utama sebagai pelindung, diharapkan dapat membantu produk keripik pisang tanduk Arjuna untuk lebih mudah dikenal di masyarakat.
The purpose of this study was to design a logo and packaging design for Arjuna horn banana chips in Palopo City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques consisting of direct observation of sales of Arjuna's horn banana chips, interviews with consumers and literature study using literature as a reference and relevant previous research. The analytical method used is a componential analysis technique. The results showed that respondents liked the logo that had been designed and the packaging design. The results of the study obtained that the logo design and packaging design of chips were adjusted to the characteristics of the product. In designing the logo, image a product made from horn bananas in green. Packaging design from the physical aspect of packaging in the form of packaging materials, labels containing product information that meet the expectations of consumers to be more interested than previous packaging designs. Based on the graphic design aspect, the packaging displays product colors that describe flavor variants. Arjuna's banana horn chips brown sugar flavor has a dark brown packaging design, the white sugar flavor chips image a sweet taste that comes from crystal sugar and the red is balad flavor chips give a spicy sensation. With a unique packaging design that adapts visualization to the appearance of the logo and the appearance of an attractive packaging design, in addition to its main function as a protector, it is hoped that it can help the product of Arjuna's horn banana chips to be more easily recognized in the public.
