Abstract

Saat ini masih terdapat permasalahan serius di sektor pertanian dimana petani berusia tua (lebih dari 55 tahun) jumlahnya semakin meningkat, sementara tenaga kerja usia muda semakin berkurang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi, kepribadian, ekonomi keluarga, dan keadaan lingkungan terhadap minat generasi muda petani di sektor pertanian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Panca Rijang pada bulan Maret-Mei 2024. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analisis Regresi Linear Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada hasil uji t diperoleh bahwa variabel Motivasi (X1) dan Kepribadian (X2) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap minat generasi muda sedangkan variabel Ekonomi Keluarga (X3) dan Keadaan Lingkungan (X4) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap minat generasi muda. Pada hasil uji f diperoleh bahwa semua variabel independen (X) secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Minat (Y) generasi muda petani terhadap sektor pertanian.

There are still serious problems in the agricultural sector where the number of older farmers (over 55 years) is increasing, while the number of young workers is decreasing. This research aimed to determine the influence of motivation, personality, family economy, and environmental conditions on the interest of the younger generation of farmers in the agricultural sector. This research was carried out in Panca Rijang District in March-May 2024. The data analysis technique used Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The result of the research show that the results of the t-test show that variables Motivation (X1) and Personality (X2) have no significant influence on the interests of the younger generation, while the variables Family Economy (X3) and Environmental Conditions (X4) have a significant influence on the interests of the younger generation. F test was found that all independent variables (X) simultaneously had a significant effect on the interest (Y) of the younger generation in the agricultural sector.
