Serat Jarwasasana: Representasi Masyarakat Jawa dalam Membangun Rumah Melalui Perspektif Bourdieu

Masyarakat Jawa mempunyai tradisi dalam membangun rumah penuh dengan makna yang menjadi realitas masyarakat Jawa. Keterkaitan antara makna dan nilai sosial memberikan pengaruh pada tradisi membangun rumah adat Jawa. Penelitian ini tertuju untuk memaknai rumah adat Jawa dan bagiannya melalui Serat Jarwasasana. Penelitian ini juga menggambarkan habitus dan modal masyarakat Jawa dari aspek isi dan penulis Serat Jarwasasana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menganalisis data berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, dan paragraf dari Serat Jarwasasana. Sosiologi Pierre Bourdieu yang menekan pada habitus dan modal digunakan untuk menguraikan interpretasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan analisis makna pada rumah adat Jawa yang menjadi filosofi hidup masyarakat Jawa. Tingkat spiritualitas masyarakat Jawa yang tinggi mempengaruhi cara berpikir dan cara berperilaku masyarakat Jawa yang kemudian menciptakan sebuah habitus. Modal sosial dan budaya memungkinkan masyarakat Jawa mendapatkan posisi pada pranata sosial. penelitian ini merupakan uraian analisis dari naskah Jawa klasik untuk memahami cara pandang sosiologi Bourdieu pada masyarakat Jawa.
