Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sejauh mana efektifitas pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media PowerPoint terhadap motivasi, aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan media PowerPoint dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif pada topik lingkaran siswa SMP Negeri 1 Bua. Instrument yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data tentang hasil belajar adalah tes hasil belajar, data aktivitas siswa diperoleh dengan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru, sedang data motivasi siswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket motivasi. Data aktivitas siswa dianalisis menggunakan persentase sedangkan data hasil belajar siswa dan motivasi siswa dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hipotesis dari penelitian yaitu terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa setelah penerapan media pembelajaran PowerPoint pada topik lingkaran pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Bua. Secara umum disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media PowerPoint pada pada pembelajaran matematika topik lingkaran siswa SMP Negeri 1 Bua dengan kategori cukup efektif.
