Analisis Buku Teks Bahasa Inggris SMP: Developing English Competencies

Salah satu fungsi dasar buku teks adalah menyediakan pengetahuan secara sistematis sehingga dapat dengan mudah dipelajari oleh peserta didik dengan cara yang mudah dan teratur. Penggunaan buku ajar dapat menjamin bahwa siswa di kelas yang berbeda akan mendapatkan konten yang serupa sehingga dapat dievaluasi dengan cara yang sama. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas buku teks sesuai persyaratan buku teks Bahasa Inggris yang baik dan untuk memudahkan guru sebagai pengguna buku teks untuk secara kritis memeriksa buku teks yang mereka gunakan saat ini. Berdasarkan ketujuh aspek evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku teks Developing English Competencies sangat baik tetapi tidak terlalu direkomendasikan karena skor totalnya adalah 108 (di bawah 110). Berdasarkan analisis tujuan dan pendekatan, buku teks yang dipilih memenuhi program pengajaran. Penataan kontennya rapi dan terorganisir, serta setiap bagian dari konten bahasa diberikan dengan jelas dan mudah dibedakan.
