PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CONNECTING ORGANIZING REFLECTING EXTENDING (CORE) TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII SMP N 1 RAO

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik yang menggunkaan Model Pembelajaran Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Rao.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain posttest only Control-Group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Rao semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2025/2026. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak (random sampling), sehingga terpilih kelas VIII. 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik berbentuk uraian berdasarkan indikator dengan reliabilitas 0,374. Selanjutnya pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t satu pihak dengan taraf signifikansi 95%.
Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 1,479 dan ttabel = 1,681 maka thitung > ttabel dengan demikian hipotesis ditolak. Jadi dapat di simpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending (CORE) tidak lebih baik dari pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik dengan pembelajaran konvensional (Discovery Learning) di kelas VIII SMP N 1 Rao.
