Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain two group pretest-posttest yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). Satuan eksperimen penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Palopo yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling sehingga terpilihlah dua kelas yang homogen. Kelas eskperimen 1 kelas 7b di ajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan kelas eksperimen 2 kelas 7c di ajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sebelum di ajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berada pada kategori rendah dan setelah diajarkan menggunakan model jigsaw dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI), (3) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI).
