Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Self Directed Learning Dalam Pemecahan Masalah Mahasiswa Calon Guru: Suatu Studi Literatur

Menerapkan dan mengevaluasi pengetahuan merupakan hal yang lebih penting, tidak hanya menerima pengetahuan. Belajar bagaimana cara belajar akan dapat dicapai oleh peserta didik bila mereka memiliki keterampilan belajar mandiri (self-directed learning) khususnya mahasiswa calon guru. Hal ini dikarenakan mahasiswa calon guru merupakan cikal bakal guru di masa mendatang yang akan membantu mencerdaskan anak bangsa. Oleh karena itu, untuk menghasilkan peserta didik pada tingkat SD, SMP, dan SMA yang mampu mandiri dalam belajar, maka calon guru lah yang pertama harus memiliki potensi/keterampilan tersebut. Untuk menanamkan jiwa SDL pada mahasiswa calon guru, diperkenalkan banyak strategi, teknik, metode serta model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk melatih meningkatkan keterampilan SDL ini, salah satunya adalah model Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Hal ini disebabkan bahwa PBL akan menciptakan situasi di mana mahasiswa akan belajar untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya secara mandiri. Melalui studi ini diharapkan ditemukan suatu hipotesis yang nantinya akan dilakukan research untuk pembuktiannya.
